Final Day in New York

Image
I managed to get to the bagel shop early this morning where there was no line. Didn’t really take pics today because Bailyn was Christmas shopping. Wouldn’t want to let the cat out of the bag with photos of shops 🤣   I did take a photo of the skyline of New York as we were heading to the airport. Also got a shot of this restroom for female, male and can’t decide.  And last photo at the airport waiting to board.  Uh oh. They just announced that our flight will be delayed due to maintenance. 🙁 15,519 steps 7.2 miles  3 floors Advent for today.  “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, ‘Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.’” – John 1:29 “Advent realigns our hearts toward wonder. We marvel anew at the climactic moment of history when God took on flesh and dwelt amongst us. But secular sirens draw our attention elsewhere through images of snowfalls and jingle bells.  God has blessed Handel’s Messiah as an anti...

Concert Day

I’m adding some photos here that Aaron took yesterday but we were too tired to transfer them over last night   A very wet walk  Waffles and Dinges (toppings) at Bryant Park in the downpour.  In the theater.  We walked to the hotel from Radio City in the rain and were soaked when we got there and oh so tired after being up almost 24 hours. And we got in a few steps and miles.  25,590 steps 10.6 miles  6 floors Walked to Ess-a-bagel to get breakfast this morning but the line was all the way down the block to get in the door. I waited about 15 minutes and the line didn’t move so I walked back to the hotel. It rained off and on all night and was still raining this morning.  Amy’s Bread was plan B for breakfast. Cheese biscuits, gingerbread muffin and quiche. Wanted to wait out the rain but it just wasn’t letting up.  We tried to duplicate some photos from 10 years ago when Bailyn was here but things have changed a bit since then. There’s no trai...

Bailyn’s Christmas gift is a trip to New York to see Lauren Daigle in concert with Aaron and me. We left for the airport at 3:30 am. 🥱 The forecast, sadly, is for rain today and tomorrow through noon. Hopefully, it won’t be a heavy rain while we’re out and about. In the Dallas airport  On the plane Leaving Dallas  Sunrise We had much turbulence as we flew over this cloud mass.  There were many pink bags but still waiting on Bailyn’s. After retrieving our bags we grabbed a taxi to our hotel and dropped the bags off while we wandered the city.  We were hungry so stopped in Tony’s Di Napoli for lunch. Spaghetti and meatballs Chicken fettuccini Alfredo  I think there are thousands more people here this week than there were last week. It’s crazy crowded.  Aaron and Bailyn in Times Square.  M&M fireman M&M Statue of Liberty  Market at Times Square. How did we miss this one Jo Anne? Build-a bear Ophie the mooey Christmas cow.  We walked bac...
